Heatsavr has to be added to the pool water on a daily basis to maintain its effectiveness. This is because Heatsavr biodegrades it has what is called a 2 day half life - which means that in 2 days 50% of it has biodegraded.

The standard dose rate for pools maintained at normal swimming temperatures is between 0.8 and 1 ml per m².

The dose rate is increased up to 1.6 ml per m² for spas and higher temperature hydrotherapy pools

Easy and inexpensive to install the Heatsavr automatic dosing system provides a reliable and accurate method of ensuring that the pool benefits from the maximum energy savings possible. Fully programmable to suit pool size and hours of operation, it only requires a weekly resevoir check with top up when necessary.

It ensures that the correct dose is added to the pool regularly and at the same time



For domestic and smaller commercial pools up to a surface area of about 150 m² then the 4 litre container in which Heatsavr is supplied also acts as the reservoir and the screw cap on the container is replaced by a special fitting for connecting to the pump.
For larger pools a 25 litre day tank with bund tank is normally used as the Heatsavr reservoir.

For multi pool complexes, each pool will require its own dosing unit but dependant on plant room layout and location of injection points one day tank may suffice.
