Evaporation accounts for anything between 70 and 90% of pool water heat loss

so reducing evaporation can significantly reduce the cost of water heating on any pool,
Whether indoor or outdoor,
Heatsavr can substantially reduce pool water heating costs.
But with
indoor pools savings are not just limited to water heating.
Reduced evaporation means that there is less work for the dehumidification plant to do.
Reducing evaporation also means that when the pool is closed and
Heatsavr is in action, it is not necessary to keep the air temperature at that magic 1°C above the water temperature in order to suppress evaporation. Controls can therefore be set to maintain the pool hall air temperature at a lower level when the pool is closed

typically 6

8°C lower than when occupied, thus saving significantly on fabric and ventilation heat loss.
Some systems will already adjust automatically to changing conditions, either by reducing fan speed, by varying the amount of fresh air or recirculation, or if the system includes mechanical dehumidification by inbuilt refrigeration control.
Others may require some manual adjustment or the reprogramming of controls. Some may even benefit from the fitting of simple and inexpensive additional controls that would enable selected fans to switch off when the pool is closed and
Heatsavr is working.
Less fresh air means less air to heat from cold.
Reduced fan speeds or switching selected fans off when not needed means reduced electrical consumption.
Reduced air temperature reduces fabric and ventilation heat losses.
Air handling and environmental control systems vary from pool to pool and in order to ensure maximum benefit from the use of
Heatsavr it is important that controls and plant are effectively managed.
Heatsaver has considerable expertise in this field and can advise on the setting up and management of plant and controls for specific sites.
Fully monitored energy savings have exceeded 40% but in any event expected savings should be between 3 and 6 times the cost of the Heatsavr liquid, thus representing an extremely high return on investment
So how much does Heatsavr cost?
It is certainly not expensive.
Heatsavr is supplied in cases of 4 x 4 litre containers i.e. 16 litres per case.

(Current price of 1 case is £288 plus VAT) |
Current price of automatic dosing equipment ranges from £257 plus VAT to £392 plus VAT depending on size and type of pool.

Whilst any orders direct with Heatsaver Ltd. will be for a minimum of 1 case (16 litres) some local stockists are able to supply individual 4 litre containers to suit the smaller requirement of a private seasonal use outdoor pool.

Implementing the use of
Heatsavr on a commercial pool shouldn't require any special budget since the cost of the liquid should be paid for several times over by the achievable savings in each utility bill. The only capital outlay, which is minimal, relates to the installation of an automatic dosing system but even this is normally paid for by the savings on the first utility account.
